Storefront stalking is one of the oldest tricks in online arbitrage, and still one of the best. Find sellers who sell what you sell, look at their storefronts, and you'll find products they've already proven, often from sources you can buy from too.
The problem is that storefronts are big and they change every day. Scrolling through a seller's 2,000 listings to spot the five they added this week is miserable, and by the time you notice, the deal's often gone.
Here's how I find sellers worth following, check their whole catalogs against my account, and get a short list every morning of just what they added since yesterday.
Step 1: Find sellers worth stalking
The best sellers to follow are ones who sell the same kind of products you do. Here's the fastest way I've found:
- Pick a product you're already selling well, or one you'd like to.
- In Keepa, export the list of sellers on that listing, with their seller IDs.
- That list is your starting point. Every seller on it has already proven they source products like yours.
Do this across a few of your best products and you'll quickly see the same seller names show up again and again. Those are the ones to watch.
What makes a seller worth following:
- They're FBA, not FBM. FBA sellers are your direct competition and source the same way you do.
- Their storefront isn't enormous. A seller with 300 carefully chosen listings tells you more than one with 50,000 listings from a feed.
- They add products regularly. A storefront that hasn't changed in months has nothing new to teach you.
- They're in your categories, and ideally your price range.
Step 2: Check their whole catalog against your account
Before you get excited about a seller's products, find out which ones you can actually sell. A storefront full of brands you're gated on is just a list of things you can't have.
In Opero3P I drop the Keepa seller export straight into the Scanner. It sees the seller IDs and pulls every one of those sellers' storefronts, then checks gating on their whole catalogs against my own Amazon account. The results come back sorted into:
- Ungated: you can sell it today.
- Ungateable: approval is available.
- Hard-gated: skip for now.
From there, vet the ungated ones for demand and profit, and you've turned one good product into a list of proven products you can actually sell.
Step 3: Watch the best sellers every day
Checking a storefront once is useful. Seeing what a seller adds as they add it is where the real advantage is, because a seller's newest listings are their newest finds, and those deals are freshest right now.
Doing that by hand means re-scrolling every storefront every day and trying to remember what was there yesterday. Nobody keeps that up.
In Opero3P, I save the sellers I want to follow to a watch list. Every morning it re-reads each storefront, compares it to yesterday, and shows me only the products each seller added. I open it with my coffee and check gating and profit on the new ones in a click.
It costs one Keepa token per watched seller per day, so twenty sellers is twenty tokens a day, which is cheap for a daily feed of fresh leads.
Step 4: Act on new listings fast
When a seller you follow adds something:
- Check gating and profit first. If you can't sell it or the numbers don't work, move on.
- Look at the listing: how many FBA sellers, is Amazon on it, how fast does it sell?
- Find the source. If it's online arbitrage, the product is probably available at a retailer right now. If it's wholesale, the brand is worth adding to your outreach.
- Move fast but don't pile on. If ten other sellers are watching the same storefront, the listing will get crowded. Buy what makes sense at the price it'll sell for after others arrive, not today's price.
A note on etiquette
Storefront stalking is standard practice in arbitrage. Everything you're looking at is public on Amazon. But it works best as a way to learn what sells and where to look, not to copy one seller's entire catalog. Use what you find to build your own sourcing, and you'll stay ahead of the people only following others.
FAQ
What is Amazon storefront stalking? Looking at the storefronts of successful sellers in your categories to find products they've already proven, then checking whether you can source and sell them too.
How do I find a seller's Amazon storefront? On any product listing, open the list of sellers and click a seller's name to see their storefront. To get many sellers at once, export the seller list for a listing from Keepa.
How can I see what an Amazon seller added recently? Compare their storefront over time. Doing it by hand is slow; tools like Opero3P save sellers to a watch list and show you only the products each one added since the last check, every day.
How many sellers should I watch? Start with 10 to 20 sellers in your categories who add products regularly. More isn't better if they don't sell what you sell.
Does storefront stalking still work in 2026? Yes, especially when you check gating against your own account first and act on new listings quickly, before they get crowded.
Can I check if I'm ungated on a seller's whole storefront? Yes. Pull the storefront's products and check them in bulk against your own Amazon account. Opero3P does this straight from a Keepa seller export.
Opero3P is my company. Keepa token costs depend on your Keepa plan.
