Repricing

Meet Bob: An AI That Watches My Amazon Repricer Overnight and Tells Me What Needs Me

By Rob Fogarty, Amazon FBA seller (OA and wholesale) and founder of Opero3P · October 2026

A repricer follows rules. The trouble is that the right rule changes during the day. When a price war starts, undercutting just feeds it. When the sellers ahead of you run out of stock, matching the Buy Box leaves money on the table. When a listing goes quiet, holding price means nothing sells.

I wanted something that watches each listing the way I would if I had the time, and tells me (or my repricer) when the situation changes. That's Bob.

1. It keeps a history of every listing

Every time the repricer checks a listing, Bob keeps a short snapshot of the top offers: prices, Prime status, and who holds the Buy Box. After a day or so, each listing has a story: who joined, who left, who led each price drop.

2. Every hour, a plan per listing

From that history Bob names the situation for each listing, for example:

Each plan says why, and how confident it is. With less than about 12 hours of history it says so and doesn't suggest anything.

3. Bob Command (optional): it switches strategy for you

If you turn on Bob Command, Bob can switch a listing to another of your strategies when the plan calls for it, and switch it back when the situation passes. The guardrails:

I turned it on this week. I'll share the before-and-after once there's enough data to say something honest.

4. A briefing every morning

Once a night, Claude reads a summary of my pricing, restock, sales and costs, looks up more detail where it needs to, and writes a short briefing on my Dashboard: a headline, the few things that need me, what to watch, and what went well.

The first real run cost $0.14 in AI usage and did 9 look-ups into my data. It flagged listings that couldn't win the Buy Box without going below my floor, floors sitting close to the market, and stock waiting at my prep center. Most of it was useful. One item wasn't: it reported shipments "stuck" at prep that had only looked stuck because tracking had just started. I fixed the rule the same day, and that's the point of logging everything: you can see when it's wrong.

What it costs

The plans and Bob Command run on Opero3P's own rules, no AI involved. The briefing uses Claude, about $0.10 to $0.30 a night, and each workspace has a monthly cap.

FAQ

Does Bob change my prices? Only through Bob Command, and only if you turn it on. Even then it switches between your strategies; it never sets a price itself.

What happens if I turn Bob Command off? Every listing goes straight back to its own strategy.

Is my data used to train AI? No. The briefing uses Anthropic's API under terms that don't allow training on your data.

Can the briefing be wrong? Yes. It works from your records, so treat it as a list of things to check, not orders.
